After lunch, enjoy a peaceful afternoon exploring Paro. Begin with the Ta Dzong Museum, home to a fascinating collection of religious artifacts, arts, and crafts that offer a deep dive into Bhutan's cultural roots. Then, visit the iconic Rimpong Dzong, where you can marvel at the painting of Milarepa, Bhutan's revered meditation master. Conclude your day with a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, tracing the Pachu River along the way. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Thimphu, a once quaint village, now stands as Bhutan’s vibrant capital. Start your day at the National Memorial Chorten, a serene structure dedicated to world peace and modernity’s protective energies. The day also includes visits to Changangkha Temple, the Zilukha Nunnery at Drubthob Monastery, and a few more historical gems.

Explore Bhutan's rich artistic heritage by visiting the School of Arts and Crafts, followed by a trip to the National Library, home to scriptures dating back centuries. Round off your day at the Traditional Paper Factory and the Folk Heritage Museum, a replica of a medieval farmhouse, offering a glimpse into Bhutan’s rural life. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Your journey begins with a scenic drive over the Dochu-La Pass, standing 3,100 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range. The ride through Bhutan’s rural landscape gives a beautiful insight into daily life in this remote kingdom.

Upon arriving in Punakha, you'll visit Punakha Dzong, the "Palace of Great Happiness," nestled at the confluence of two rivers. Admire its exquisite architecture before heading to Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to the Divine Madman, where couples often seek blessings for fertility. Embark on a picturesque hike from Yabesa village through terraced rice fields to Khamsum Yueley Namgyal Chorten, perched atop a hill with striking views of the Punakha Valley. Enjoy a peaceful picnic along the riverside before exploring the Wangduephodrang Dzong.

On your way back to Paro via Thimphu, stop by Semtokha Dzong, Bhutan’s oldest fortress, now a thriving institute for language and culture studies. Overnight stay in Paro.

Your adventure continues with a hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as Tiger’s Nest, perched dramatically on a cliffside 900 meters above the Paro Valley floor. If hiking isn't your preference, a horse ride can take you to the viewing point, where you can soak in the spectacular vistas.

Taktsang holds immense spiritual significance in Bhutan’s history, as it is believed that Guru Rimpoche meditated here in the 8th century. After your descent, enjoy lunch in Paro and visit the Drukgyel Dzong, a fortress that marks Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invasions. Overnight stay in Paro.
